Greg Bogin’s new edition, a shaped UV print on acrylic with spot varnish, reflects his ongoing exploration of form, color, and space. Titled , …tomorrow and forever, 2024, the piece draws inspiration from Bogin’s time spent in the desert landscapes of Nevada, particularly from the natural erosions in the rock formations at Red Rock and Valley of Fire State Parks. These eroded “holes,” formed by centuries of wind and weather, captivated Bogin, who saw them as both physical absences and profound portals to another world. The negative space within these rocks reframed his view of the surrounding landscapes, a concept he carries into his artwork.

In this edition, Bogin challenges the boundaries of traditional painting by incorporating “holes” or missing elements, a recurring motif in his work. The imperfect circle at the center of the piece is deliberately broken, allowing the wall behind to become part of the composition. By penetrating the geometric confines of the circular form, Bogin invites viewers to reconsider the physicality of the artwork itself, blurring the lines between painting and sculpture.

Through …tomorrow and forever, 2024, Bogin continues his exploration of the intersection between perfection and imperfection, painting and object, while evoking a sense of joy and discovery.
